Hey everyone in the great world wide web!!!
How are all of you?
I have a question for everyong out there, more spacificly to the people who have synaesthesia.
I am doing a paper on it for my Nat. and Fizz coures and I would like to know what it feels like to have synaesthesia?
If you don't wish to talk about it that is ok. It is just I have been doing all this research and it has made my wonder what it must be like.

For example: What do letters look like?
                    What about numbers?
If you feel music does some of it hurt when you listen?
What is the experiance in general?

Thanks for reading this and please respond if you want to.

Thank You <3

i'll answere these questions for you, if you have more questions, please tell me, i like to answer them! <3

What do letters look like?
to me, letters are displayed in an almost white, a little gray, space, in alphabetical order. every letter has its own font and color, for example, to me the "z" is bright pink and the "h" is warm brown. they also have their own personalities, with some of them you can see theirs very clearly in their appeareance, with others it's a little hidden, this is also depends on their personality in the first place. the x is small, gray and very pointy, it's a sly and can be very dangerous. (it sounds really weird, iknow, but i'm so used to it haha)

What about numbers?
like the letters, numbers also have their personalities. but it's a little more difficult, because for me there are two ways of displaying the numbers in my head. when i'm counting, the same almost white space appears and there's a big clock, yet is has no hands. when it has reached 12, the surroundings immediately change and it becomes black, with white numbers. 13 and all the other numbers just go vertically upside, in a straight line. 20, 30, 40, 50, etc. all the 'round' numbers are locked up in a little white box and the numbers theirselves are black, instead of white (otherwise you can't read it).
when i'm thinking about numbers, not related to counting, more like the number itself, the numbers one to ten have very strong personalities, sizes and colors. eleven and up have it less, yet there are some influences. the number 5 is very friendly and very big, and a little brown toned for example. there are also numbers that are ugly and numbers that are pretty. like the number 385, it's pretty, very friendly also, but smaller and more pink and greenish. the number 386 is less pretty, it's way less friendly and also very bright coloured.
if it isn't clear to you then just tell me xd

If you feel music does some of it hurt when you listen?
that really depends on the kind of music, usually it doesnt. i personally like rock and metal a lot, but house-like music too, and some random japanese songs. music is pretty different from letters and numbers, because it consists of many different shapes together. these shapes can have any size, colour, texture, personality, etc. they also go in a direction, which is very important for the sound. i have had this since i was small (i remember playing my mom's piano when i was little, i never used the words 'low' and 'high', i always used 'dark' and 'light'.) i grew very used to it all. experiencing everything has become so natural to me that i think i would feel very empty without it. (beside synesthesia, i also have add and some other kinds of things. people often ask me how i can live with it, but i already grew so used to it that i sometimes find it hard if people cant 'feel' the music.)

if you have more questions please ask me, i'd be very interested in answering your questions <3

also, i think i should tell you that there is a book out there, written by a daniel tammet, who is autistic and has a really big type of synestesia, it's a very awesome book. i think it might be very interesting for you, the book is titled 'born on a blue day' ;)

i don't really have one favourite word. i like a lot of words, some because of their appeareance, some because of what they mean. when i write stories i tend to use words i like more often than words i don't like. there aren't really words that i hate, yet there are words that have personalities or experiences bound to them that makes me dislike them.
if i like them because i like their sound, the way they are made up out of letters, they tend to have a different font per letter and multiple colors. when i like them because of the meaning, they only have one font, and one color. words also often have relations with eachother which don't seem very common.
for example, the word 'rain'. i like this word because of it's meaning, i love the rain, the sound of dripping water calms me down. it's also related to the word sadness. it's weird, but when i'm sad i often feel very comfortable. it appears to be black, not very neat, but it looks quite elegant. the curve in the r makes an endless going circle and the i is made longer, it turns into an umbrella covering the whole word, yet there it only rain under the umbrella.
not all the words are as wide as this one, most of them are just letters in fonts and colors.

i don't really understand the second question, but words can have other personalities that the letters they consist of. i never really thought of it but probably they do have some relation, somewhere, i guess.

if something's not clear then just tell me~
